Instructor - Spanish

Foreign Languages

This position is a 11-13 credits workload (3 to 4 classes) a semester that might include courses in introductory Spanish; courses that foster the development of Spanish skills in L2 and heritage learners such as writing, conversation, and readings; and interdisciplinary courses such as Business Spanish and Spanish for Healthcare. In addition, the position includes service to the department, e.g., leading a student organization. The anticipated start date is August 19, 2024.

Typically M-F with occasional departmental events on weekends

Candidates must have a minimum of an MA Spanish or closely related field (e.g., Spanish Linguistics, literature, pedagogy) and experience teaching at the post-secondary level. In addition, candidates must have at least advanced-high proficiency in Spanish (based on ACTFL speaking guidelines).
